Ard Rí Food Drive

Thank you to everyone who supported the Ard Rí Community NS annual charity food drive. This year our hampers will go to Navan Meals on Wheels. The boys and girls each purchased an item from a shopping list of non-perishable items and brought the items to school. Then parent volunteers packed and wrapped the food into hampers. We will deliver the hampers to Meals on Wheels and from there they will be delivered to the elderly in...

Make and Do at the Solstice

Boys and Girls from Ard Rí were delighted to be invited to the Solstice Arts Centre to make decorations for their café and Christmas tree. ‘I can’t wait to surprise my mum when I bring her in and show her what we’ve made here’ said one very excited little girl.                                                            We have established a strong partnership with the Solstice over the years. This year alone we attended three shows and two art exhibitions. They do exceptional work in supporting the arts in Navan and we are proud to support their kids...

Gael Force

Ard Rí Community NS were delighted to welcome Colm Keys, Chairman of Simonstown Gaels GFC and players Mickey Brennan, Shane O’Rourke and Conor Nash to celebrate with them on their Meath Senior Championship win. They brought with them the much coveted Keegan Cup. The players explained to the children the importance of playing sport and leading a healthy lifestyle. They made the point that this was the first senior win in the 51 years since the club’s foundation, how important determination is, not only in sport but in everyday life. The club donated a set of jerseys to the school to commemorate their great victory and to celebrate the start of a partnership between Ard Rí and Simonstown. We hope this will be the start of Gaelic Games for Ard Rí. We wish Conor the best of luck as he embarks on his professional footballing career in Australian Football League and Simonstown Gaels as they progress in the Leinster Club Championship. ...

This will be used for PE, Drama, Assembly and Community Events. We will invite everyone in for a nosey and a cup of tea once everything is finished. Watch this...

Bedtime Stories

At Ard Rí Community NS we want our children to become life-long readers. We run Bed Time Stories every year. Children return to school before bedtime in their pyjamas and we celebrate great children’s literature. We hope the event will remind parents to read to their children every night. “Children become readers on the knees of their parent’s” Oh and there is hot chocolate...
