The Department of Education recognises that the Admissions Process for post-primary school is an important stage in a child’s education. In that context, we have produced a letter to parents/guardians with information and advice regarding this process.

Dear Parents of 5th & 6th Class pupils,
Choosing a Post-Primary school is a big decision. We will guide you through the process. Children from Ard Rí CNS have been accepted at every school in Navan. Generally, a school’s Enrolment process will be launched in early October at the Open Evening. Please find links to school websites and Open Evening times below.
Remember: Parents are responsible for making applications to Post Primary Schools on behalf of their children. Acceptance is not guaranteed, so I advise you to apply to more than one school.
Admission can only be secured for pupils in 6th Class, however I encourage parents of pupils in 5th Class to attend Open Evenings to gather as much information as you can about the schools so you can make the best decision when the time comes.

Although Coláiste Ríoga is not in Navan, it is a popular choice for families in our school. Open night for incoming 1st years for the school year 2024-2025 takes place on Thursday 8th October 4.30-7.30pm.
